Biography
Formed in 2011, Albino Pigeon are a Melodic Grunge band, from South East London, consisting of Ant Noonan (Vocals and Guitar), Sonny Mitchell (Lead Guitar), Sean McIvor (Bass Guitar) and Andrew McIvor (Drums). Originally founded by Vocalist Ant Noonan, he quickly recruited Harry Sprowell on Guitar and Andrew McIvor on Drums. After looking around for a Bassist, the three members asked Sean McIvor (brother of Andrew) to join as he had already a talent for playing guitar, so would be a good bassist also. A few months in, after the band had played their first successful gig, guitarist Harry left the band leaving Albino Pigeon to become a three-piece. Here the band's style and sound morphed into a grungier punk medium, leaving the older Indie/Alternative side to dissolve.
After several gigs, Noonan decided to hire an extra musician at a performance at local venue the Old Tigers Head, Sonny Mitchell, in order to have a thicker and fuller live sound. Mitchell was auditioned and then hired full time by the band shortly afterwards.
