Dubbed a “one stop shop” artist who can sing, write, dance, do hair & makeup, and style herself, Alli is the epitome of a new generation of talent.
Alli is enjoying the success of being handpicked to sing background vocals on Jennifer Lopez’s latest album “Love?” and her striking tone was featured in all of Lopez’s Gillette®Venus® commercials that aired nationwide in 2011.
She’s definitely not your typical blonde. Blending brains with beauty, the passion behind her music is genuine and each story depicts a glimpse into her life.
Born and raised in San Fernando, Alli grew up in a conservative middle class household as the youngest of three, prompting the singer to appreciate what she had and work hard for what she wanted. She developed her “Valley Girl Swag” at an early age, hanging out in malls, playing with makeup, styling hair and dressing up. She takes pride in her organic sense of style. “I don’t wait for someone to tell me what’s cool to wear. It’s about finding out for yourself.”
The talented beauty caught her big break in 2009 when she won a nationwide search to become the lead singer for girl group “Lingerie.” Honing her craft while performing in clubs throughout LA, opened many doors for Alli’s career, catapulting her to a new level in the industry. After the group dissolved, Alli worked with several well-known producers, recording solo songs including “I Like to Play in LA” featuring G-Unit’s Hot Rod. After two production deals at two different labels, Alli was recently signed by Music Executive Jorelle Jones who also launched Bay Area emcee Bobby Brackins.
Alli credits musical influences Lauryn Hill, Madonna, Britney Spears and Fergie with inspiring the unique “soulful dance music” sound she’s developed as her own. Her newly released video for her single “For Your Love,” directed by Sean Babas, is generating quite a buzz in the industry. Alli is currently working with producer Hajii Springer and writer Gennessee Louison her upcoming mixtape and plans to release a second single in the summer. “I feel like this project is really me,” she said, describing the mixtape as a mesh between pop and hip-hop that you’ve never heard before.
