Biography
Am Amp is a Japanese band from Tokyo. They define their music as "genreless". Originally starting as a one-man band in 2022, the band has since grown to four members, each with their own musical background experience. They have appeared on TV Asahi's musical program "musicるTV" and provided the opening theme for the show throughout November 2023.
Band Members:
- Kyosuke Suga (須賀京介) - vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist, lyricist, and composer. When he's not working on Am Amp, Kyosuke is also an actor for TV series and stage dramas, and composes music for idols.
- Motoharu (矢沢もとはる) - bassist. Motoharu was previously the bassist in the visual kei band マイナス人生オーケストラ (Minus Life Orchestra).
- Miyagi Koudai (宮城紘大)/Miyako - drummer, nicknamed Miyako. He originally started his musical career in the short-lived Japanese boy band Nisemono☆Genjitsushugi (ニセモノ☆現実主義), better known as Niselia. Prior to Am Amp, Miyako was best known for being a stage actor for theater adaptations of popular anime and videogame franchises, such as Detective Conan, The Prince of Tennis, and Sanrio.
- JOHN - guitarist. Prior to Am Amp, he was the guitarist for pop bands ハチミツシンドローム and A11yourDays. He has also provided guitar recordings and stage support for major artists such as Koda Kumi/倖田來未, SG, and VOI SQUARE CAT.
