Amii Stewart recorded a disco version of the song, "Knock On Wood" originally a Top 30 Pop chart hit for Eddie Floyd in 1966. Amii's version went to #1 in the U.S. Billbord Hot 100 in April 1979. The single also charted on the U.S. R&B Singles Chart at #6 and #5 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. It has since become the best-known version of the song. The song "Knock On Wood" was co-produced by Simon May. It also reached the Top 10 twice in the UK, first in 1979 reaching #6 and then a remixed version reached #7 in 1985. "Knock On Wood" also peaked at #13 in Germany.
