Ustadji died in a tragic car crash 50 years ago today. Such a devastating loss for Hindustani classical music. Out of all the great maestros of the sub-continent, there will never be anyone like him. His Raga renditions were so soothing yet haunting and stunning, maintaining his own irreplicable style. We are so lucky to have a few live recordings of him online.
