Biography
András Kecskés is a Hungarian musician and teacher of the lute and guitar. Trained at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna, and with a masters degree from the Mozarteum in Salzburg, he founded the Kecskés Ensemble in 1977, winning the Bruges Early Music Contest in 1978. The ensemble plays a repertoire of early European and Asian music from its beginnings until the 19th century, and has successfully toured in Europe, the USA, Canada and China.
