Biography
A New Yorker-by-way-of-California, Andrew Fox is a singer-songwriter and producer, specializing in "genre-hopping pastiche—without the irony." Styles range from adrenaline-pumped New Wave and chamber-classical rock, to smooth Steely Dan-style jazz-pop and late-seventies orchestral disco authentic enough that you can smell the polyester.
While he draws influences from all types of music, Fox has listened to quite a bit of Elvis Costello and Ben Folds in his day, and is a big fan of late-70s pop and rock of all styles. His record is available for download at andrewfox.bandcamp.com and also on itunes. Currently he is recording his second EP, an electronic collaboration with folk songwriter Kelly Izzo scheduled for a Summer 2011 release. Stay tuned!
