Andrew Jilin is a Russian musician, he has played music all his life. From a young age he played drums, basses and other instruments in rock bands. He was particularly inspired when he heard the deeply moving sound of a flute. The instrument he had heard was a Shakuhachi, the Japanese bamboo flute. In Japan, it was performed by the Komuso Zen monks for years. Mainly used for meditation and enlightenment purposes, not for entertainment.
