Biography
John's Children split up on the stage (!) of the Flamingo Club in Redruth, United Kingdom, in late 1967, when drummer-turned-guitarist Chris Townson walked out of the venue and the band after punching bassist John Hewlett in the face, knocking him to the floor.
Still under the wing of Simon Napier Bell, singer Andy Ellison, embarked on a solo career with Hewlett managing him. Notable singles:'It's Been A Long Time' (1967) and 'Fool From Upper Eden' (1968).
