Biography
Andy Velo is from Suwanee, Georgia, a small town just south of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Andy recognized his passion for writing and performing at a young age and after starting to play the Georgia circuits, he knew that’s where he would find himself in the years to come. “I knew very early this is what I loved and there wasn’t anything I saw myself doing,” says Andy. “I remember being asked in middle school to pick my track for my career, and to me there was only one option.” His country/rock sound mixed with his high-energy performances has created a loyal and discerning fan base, which has grown to encompass all ages.
“To get to do what I love is a blessing in it’s own right, so I want to always make sure I give it everything I have, every time. Life is short and it’s not a dress rehearsal. We’ve come so far already and I can’t wait to see what happens from here.”
Since, the release of his self-titled EP in 2012 Andy has hit the ground running at full speed, performing and spending time with his fans. “It’s been a good ride so far, I’m blessed to have the fans I do. I am unapologetic about the fact that my live show, recordings, and entire brand is built for the fan.”
Another huge development for Andy was the cultivation of an incredible partnership with sponsor, Jim Beam. Through this relationship, it has taken him to a whole new level, giving the fans more ways to connect and express themselves from everything to a dual branded Andy Velo/Jim Beam tour bus, free music downloads, and headlining Jim Beam Tailgates.
A short departure from the stage, Andy has also made his mark on the silver screen, being featured in and working as a stunt man in Hollywood films such as We Are Marshall and The Blind Side, among others.
Andy’s highly anticipated 2nd studio release, the “Blue Collar Cruise EP” released in August 2014 and is making some big waves in the conscious of country music lovers.
