Anette Vedvik is a Pop/Funk/Jazz singer/songwriter hailing from Norway.
Anette Vedvik got a good response on her first recording in 2002. The album ” My deliverance” became a reality because a Norwegian producer heard her talent and offered a free recording. The first recording was sent to different international record companies and only a few days later Anette got an email from one of the most successful producers in the world; Charlie Peacock, with an invitation to Nashville. In the States, Anette got to meet and establish contacts in both Forefront Records and Sparrow Records. She settled down in Hollywood in Los Angeles where she eventually graduated the Recording Artist Program at the Musician’s Institute. Anette Vedvik got back home from USA in March 2003 and continued working on her music by writing new songs and having concerts. Spring 2004 she carried through a tour across the States, performing all the way from Miami in Florida to San Francisco in California. In February 2006 the second album ”This is life” was released. Anette recorded 5 of the songs in Norway with the producer and D’Sound-member Stein Austrud, while the 5 other songs were recorded in California with the producers Mike Busbee and David Valencia. To promote the new album, a new USA-tour was accomplished in the states California, Arizona and Nevada. The song ”In the night” from the album ”This is life” was spring and summer 2006 B-listed on NRK P1 for 14 weeks. Anette’s music gets attention regularly for its peculiarity and quality. She has a solid vocal which is accompanied by a percussive guitarplay. The music is often described as a mixture of pop and soul. Throughout the carreer, Anette has developed her voice and the character of the music. New songs are continuously composed and Anette aims to impart her new songs on as many venues as possible in the future.
