Biography
Anome is a musical endeavor created by Brian Wolff and Aaron Nordstrom. Anome, meaning the absence of normalcy, seemed a fitting title based on the musicians' history as friends, players and humans in general. Venturing into somewhat different territory from some of their previous acts including Otep, Synapse, The Changing, and Dominion, Anome has taken on the task of mixing smooth melody, with sometimes aggressive instrumentation, melodic vocals, and a message of self empowerment, not through anger, but through wisdom and clarity of mind. Something that these artists feel is not nearly present enough both in music, but in our culture as well. Anome is currently recording their first full length album in Chicago, Illinois with engineer extraordinaire, and friend, Steve O. We have begun playing shows in the area and have revieved great feedback and support from new and old friends. After having the fortune of meeting Mike Gussis, bassist, we now have a beautiful lineup of musician's and friends dedicated to fostering our art and influencing the lives, as we've been influenced by those artists that we have loved in the past. We hope you listen and enjoy, because that's why we're doing it.
