Biography
By the time Aqua Cherry first hit the stage in the summer of 2009, the diverse musical backgrounds of its members had distilled into a fresh, contemporary take on rock and roll. Drummer Anthony Priolo’s punk and classic rock pedigree lay an energetic foundation for bassist Stu Suchit’s funk and reggae grooves. As Brian Bethke’s lead guitar sings and soars, Derick Gross draws on the singer/songwriter elements of his past to craft lyrics that span the divide between thoughtful and playful. From the rollicking fun of “You” and “Come Out Tonight” to the seething fire of “Puppet” and the vintage blues rock of “The Wait Wait,” Aqua Cherry aims to completely immerse the senses and emotions of the audience in the live rock and roll experience.
