Biography
Arthéa are Goa Alloro and François Bourlier, who formed the band under commitment to the idea of playing instruments of their own making. One of their instruments, for example, is the Contrabass Ney, a ten feet long flute featuring a meticulously crafted keying system. They also built many string instruments, such as the Kotar, the Japanese koto, the Chinese qin and the Persian tar. A variety of percussion instruments appear among Arthéa's instrumentation as well, including frame drums, cymbals and gongs in various forms.
