The genres have changed so much over the past couple decades. It used to be any breakdowns = deathcore, but most death metal genres have adopted them by now. Bands like this or All Shall Perish would probably be called melodeath if they came out today. Meanwhile, the modern deathcore coming out in the 2020s has grown into a caricature of what people used to pretend deathcore was in the 00s, just endless 0s and chugging

I think it is on that narrow edge between metalcore and deathcore that existed back in the 2000s.

As Blood Runs Black, the American Metalcore/Deathcore/Death Metal band was formed in 2003 hailing from the suburbs of Los Angeles. After a few years of trial and error, but with insightful demos, they got signed by the once famous Mediaskare Records, never heard since 2005. Their first album Allegiance which in the exact year of 2005 emerged out, they comprise melodic death metal riffs, blastbeats and powerful and meaningful vocals from Los Alamos. Ever since then they were carried around like in a "carrousell" but growing from strength to strength through stormy seas. They even made number #111 on Billboard, something bla, bla, bla... Metallica. Their second album Instinct talks about primordial stuff unknown about around the World or the Universe. For precision Buddhism, Taoism or Sufism. The album never made it big, even though they toured all over the World, God knows how. For the next two years, As Blood Runs Black toured in support of Allegiance because of the ruins of our lives.

Waiting for these guys to be the next 2000's core band to come crawling out of the woodworks with a new album

First record was great at the time and it felt like these guys had incredible potential, then it all fell apart. Would love for someone to do a mini-doc on everything that happened and where everybody is now.

allegiance is great, but don't sleep on instinct or ground zero. they're both solid records

Everything about it is perfect, the riffs, the amazing drumming, the chugs, it's just an absolute banger front to back. No misses whatsoever.

I used to listen to Allegiance all the time back in 2006. I totally moved away from this style of metal but I still dig Allegiance. Was wondering is they put out anything since then. Now from what people are saying, I'm better off just sticking with the debut. Though If anyone can find there demos that would be sick. I got one be for the debut came out back in the day but lost it. It was killer though...

1 ый альбом хит для того времени,2-ой чуть хуже,но мне пару песен нравится,а по поводу нового говорить нечего. совершенно другой состав-другая музыка.

Is the new album worth listening to or would I be better off sticking to Allegiance?

I saw them live and I gotta say that Chris, the new vocalist, is a fucking beast, mostly because he can hold a scream for like 20 seconds and he never runs out of breath, he's now one of my favorite vocalists

All the other shit aside I really dig the new album. I mean it's not groundbreaking or anything, but it's not like they ever were to begin with. The clean vocals are very downplayed and definitely fit what they got going on, then again I'm not terrified of anything that's not teh brootals.
