The next R&B/POP sensation is a 17 year old named Ashlie Luckett from Virginia.But Ashlie is anything but quiet in her musical talents and destiny for fame in the entertainment buisness. In 2005, she opened for R&B legends " The Temptations" in Richmond V.A. and for the "Persuaders" in Wilson N.C. Recently, Ashlie opened for "The Manhattens" and " Morris Day an the Time" at V.A State University.At an early age Ashlie realized that she wanted to pursue a career in music. She was inspired by music greats such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, an Aaliyah. At the age of 10 , Ashlie made her singing debut at her hometown elementary school and has been singing every since. When her idol Aaliyah was tragically killed in 2001 Ashile was devastated. " I understood at the moment that life is to precious, and you cant take it for granted," Ashlie commented. She continued in saying, " if there is something you want, you have to work hard and go for it." Ashlie is currently a freshman at Virginia State University, where she is continuing her education as a music major. As of right now Ashlie is working with Petersburg's own Rodney Stith, a local producer that has been on the grind for many years now. Representing BlackFist , Ashlie is continuing to perfect her own unique style. Don't get it twisted! This girl will be a major threat to the music industry.
