Biography
From Bodøs underground, X Rockeklubb and Bodø Hardcore Festival rose a band called Ayil during the autumn in 2012. In their dark universe , much influenced by board game nights and a good dose of coffee shop visits, Eivind André, Markus Jacob, Bjørn Trygve and Benjamin, creates their dark post-metal/hardcore with elements of ambient.
They are of the breed "do it yourself" and does mostly everything themselves, like The Spectacle and Beyond The Fences did in their time. In January 2013 they released their first single, "Staring/Closure" that was recommended and played on P3 Urørt. Their involvement in the music scene in Bodø has also earned them a gig at Parkenfestivalen, Hoveslaget, Bo:Larm and Kanonrock in 2013 and Bodø Hardcore Festival in 2012.
Live they tear down the venues and the crowd rages in front of the stage! They are energetic, they are coordinated and not least incredibly tight! The walls shake to every drumbeat and the floors trembles when given in with vocals and strings. Every song lingers on the eardrum and there is rarely anyone in the room without a feeling of emptiness after Ayil has gone off stage.
In time, the band has become heavier and rougher and it is expected a fierce EP after the summer of 2014.
