Biography
BXI is a collaboration project between Boris and Ian Astbury of The Cult and The Doors. They've so far released a self-titled EP through Southern Lord which was tracked and mixed in Tokyo in late April, 2010. It had a CD, LP, and digital release in September and contains three new songs as well as a cover of "Rain," featuring vocals by Wata. The art and design for the release was commissioned to Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))). Ian Astbury made an unannounced appearance with Boris at the band's performance at Sydney, Australia's Vivid LIVE appearance in May 2010; they performed material from the EP as well as a cover of "The End." BXI performed at Sunn O))) & Boris' Altar presentation at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple on September 7, 2010.
