Biography
1. (2016-2018) BABOO was a visual kei band that formed around the last half of 2016. They first started out with an older oshare kei sound with a rather off-putting, as most may call it, 'toddler in diapers' concept or baby-kei, but have turned things around as seen from their first single,「黒白-kokuhaku-」, which carries a darker and art-kei approach. Unfortunately, they disbanded at the end of 2018.
2. Here comes an indie rock band from Wuchang. Baboo are slowly emerging on wuhan's underground musical scene. They started with a live show in vox, together with bands like SMZB. For those who don't know about Vox, its a cornerstone for all underground live shows in Wuhan.
With good lyrics and paced rhythm ranging from medium fast beats to slow songs, it really takes you to think what these guys are trying to show. It certainly is a new taste. Underground punk scene is blooming in China and although Baboo has more of an indie rock taste, it can be said that they will be well received by the music lovers from different genre.
