Biography

Bad Day Down is a modern (3rd generation) punk band with driving guitars and solid back end delivering powerful lyrics about the state of the world as they see it. While in love with staple punk bands such as Propagandhi, The Bouncing Souls and Strike Anywhere (as well as many eclectic influences outside punk) — Bad Day Down's sound is still very much their own.

They all call Brisbane home, but only two are (strictly speaking) 'locals'. Ben ('b1' - guitars and vocals) is recently emigrated from the UK. Tommy (guitars and vocals) is American (but don't hold that against him, he's been in Australia for over 20 years though he still has an accent). Ben ('b2' - bass and vocals) and Sean ('prawn' - Drums) are the closest Bad Day Down have to a 'proper' Australians.

Bad Day Down's polito-ethical song titles such as "I'd Hate to be a Hated American Right Now" and "If This is Humane, then F**k Humanity" sum up the passion of Bad Day Down's music.

Bad Day Down has supported such local(Australian) and international punk acts as The Disables, Yidcore, Just Say Go!, Against Me!, Pulley, Reggie And The Full Effect, New Found Glory, Unwritten Law, No Use For A Name, Pennywise, Avail, The Lawrence Arms and Frenzal Rhomb and Propagandhi. The boys also toured around the country with NOFX on their 2007 Australian Tour.
