This album, Talk Talk's Laughing Stock, and Sigur Rós' Ágætis byrjun are my holy trinity of post-rock.

Closest album to my heart. All those cold winter mornings walking to lectures in blizzards. Biking around the city on summer nights because I couldn't sleep. Night hiking by moonlight in the Alberta Rockies. So many great memories with this album playing. Hate posting cheesy shouts but this album deserves it.

It's amazing how Hex gets all the shine, for the longest time I ignored this for some strange reason, then you finally get around to listening to it and it blows you the fuck away. Then again, that's usually how it goes, isn't it? Right under your nose the entire time. Better than Hex.

I still wonder from which place and time this music originally came. Because is 2017 and still sound contemporary. I guess sometime, the abused word 'timeless', really means something.

This album has a lot in common with Ulvers later albums, sampling, guitar processing, overall tone of the songs, sometimes even vocals are similar.

Not sure if you'll ever read this, but is there an Ulver record reminiscent to this that you could specifically recommend?

flawless [6] So, after listening through the whole album several times within two fucking days, I come to the conclusion that this is one of the most perfect albums I've ever heard, but I still have no clue which album is better...Hex or this one...well, I'm pretty sure I'll never have...

@eyesaresmiles: I see very much what you're saying, but this is still very good and I'm only on my second listen. I don't think another album is likely though. Maybe in 2014 ;)

Not as good as Hex in my book. This is great but just doesn't have that magic Hex had. In Hex you could hear them reaching and stretching for the sound and, like Talk Talk, pretty much every note sounds essential and in the right place. I cant say that about Dustsucker. Essentially, it sounds like it was too easy for him. Any idea if another one's likely?

I don't think Graham managed to outdo Hex, nor do I think he'll ever be able to. But C:D proves that he's still got the ability to craft incredible, original music.

Finally got this. I didn't think it could beat Hex, but it's nearly twice as good.

One of the finest rock albums ever released, in my experience. The Black Meat, Miss Abuse, and 400 Winters are all flawless musical works of considerable melodic beauty and timbral texture, and represent the single best three-song, back-to-back run on any album that I've heard. I listened to the CD multiple times each day, for well over a year. Graham Sutton is simply brilliant.
