Biography
Barrie started his career as a guitarist, working in theatre music performing with numerous companies including ‘Impact’ & ‘Hull Truck’. Still in his teens, he formed the rock band ‘Brazil’ & was featured in session for BBC Radio 1 in England.
Barrie was hailed as “one of the best guitarists to come out of England in years”, by Mike Varney of the US ‘Guitar Player’ magazine & soon after, he joined the alternative rock band ‘Old Man Stone’ with whom he co-wrote & recorded three albums.
In 1999 Barrie formed his own music production company ‘b-music’, & built his current recording studio ‘Studio 1909’. Barrie has recorded many albums for a variety of music libraries including 'KPM', 'Cavendish', & 'Bosworth'. He also has music production credits for companies including 'Warner Bros', 'Sony', 'Vodafone', 'Shell', 'Burger King', 'Nintendo', and numerous U.K. television programmes.
He has subsequently co-ordinated the writing and production of over 800 tracks for the film and television music company ‘Audio Network’, of which Barrie is a composer-producer and shareholder
