Barry Hay's Flying V Formation was a Dutch rock band. Established in 2012, the group was "something new" by Barry Hay, frontman of Holland's legendary Golden Earring.
In his Flying V Formation, Hay (1948) was backed by four young(er) musicians: Huub van Loon, Daim de Rijke, Pablo van de Poel (of DeWolff fame) and Jan Rooymans. The band played a number of live shows in The Netherlands in 2012 and 2013: some newly written material, some covers, a couple of Golden Earring numbers.
February 2016 saw the release of début single, Wait A Minute, followed by the band's eponymous début album, Barry Hay's Flying V Formation (May 2016). After a short tour in support of the album the Flying V Formation flew south.
