From Melbourne, Australia, Baseball were an indie-punk band whose influences ranged from Eastern European and Middle-Eastern Gypsy music, Sufi poetry, to bands like The Ex (Netherlands) the Pixies and Led Zeppelin.

Originally a solo project for frontman/violinist Cameron Potts (Ninetynine, Sandro) in 2004, Baseball evolved to the current line-up in 2005, consisting of bass player Monika Fikerle (Love of Diagrams, Sea Scouts, etc) drummer/vocalist Evelyn Morris (Pikelet, True Radical Miracle) and guitarist Ben Butcher (The Assassination Collective).

In 2005, Baseball released an EP of demo tunes for their tour of Japan and Taiwan where they played the Hohaiyan Rock Festival with Black Revel Motorcycle Club, Vincent Gallo and more.

In 2006, Baseball played support to the likes of Sleater-Kinney (USA), Saul Williams (USA), Les Savy Fav, Birushanah (Jap) and Ryokuchi (Jap), Ni-Hao! (Jap), Sabot (Czech Rep) and Amateur Party (USA).

Baseball finally released their debut album ‘Animal Kingdom’ on the 23rd of February 2008 through Stomp Entertaiment.

They quietly disbanded in 2010.
