There are 2 known artists named Beach Combers:
1. Surf music and early garage rock band from Rio de Janeiro. Formed in 2009, the band got high appearence by playing in downtown Rio or nearby the beach, mostly Ipanema or Arpoador. The group announced the first album 'Ninguém Segura os Beach Combers' in 2016, playing in private gigs and highly respected houses in Rio.
A year after, during a concert in Ipanema Beach, The Who drummer Zak Starkey, who was in a near hotel for playing in Rock in Rio festival the night before, listened to the band from his room and quickly got ready to play with the group in the streets. That led to a huge engagement in social media and a big exposition to the group, indeed with the high-pressure jam with Zak, who was given free CDs and an unforgettable experience.
For 2018, the band released 'Beach Attack', getting reviews in most of brazilian (specialized or not) news media.
2. A lo-fi two-piece from Brooklyn, Beach Combers is girly, surfy, gentle, and fun. Think of them when you're drinking Corona Lite or eating three hot dogs in a row.
