Biography
There are at least two bands that use the name Beca.
1. A group of artists formed in the 1970s in Wales
2. American synthwave artist Becca Schack
1. Formed by Welsh artist Paul Davies, Beca brought a new national consciousness to late 20th century art in Wales. The group's artists drew on a diverse range of sources including Arte Povera, Fluxus and Surrealism. The group used a mixture of artistic expression, including installation, painting, sculpture and performance, engaging with language, environmental and land rights issues.
2. Beca, aka Becca Schack, was formed in 2012 in New York City, USA. Landing in London recently with a brand new project under the Beca pseudonym, Let's Run Wild is the New Yorker's debut EP on This Is Music, revealing a fresh, darker, moodier sound that fits Beca like a glove. http://www.becadreams.com
