Biography
Becky Kelley comes from a musical family, and has lived out that legacy since she was barely old enough to sing. With her dad as a professional pianist, he would regularly kiss the kids and head out for gigs with his band a few nights a week. With music always in the home, it's not too surprising that Becky has landed where she is today. What surprises many, however, is that Becky not only sings, but writes most of her own songs. Some of those songs, hidden in a folder for years, have finally made their debut for other ears to enjoy.
As a professional singer, Becky emerged onto the music scene in December of 2010 with her "Where's the Line to See Jesus" Christmas hit song and viral music video sensation. With the song's success; generating radio play in the U.S. and internationally reaching as far as Australia, Becky decided to get serious about making her next move. She turned to an old friend and confidant, Pat Flynn, whom she had performed and worked with back when she was in school at Lipscomb University (Nashville, TN). Pat, Becky's producer and a well known name in Nashville, has a mile long all star resume and now has partnered up with Becky to make her music come to life.
On her debut pop album, "A Keeper," you will hear all about love, hope, faith, break-ups and heart-aches, and even a remix of 1962's, "Tell Him"; they decided to throw in as a nod to an early pop influence. The big question seemed to be what type of album Becky would release after the impact of "Where's the Line to See Jesus" in the Contemporary-Christian market. After many nights, lots of discussion and prayers, Becky and Pat decided to move in the direction that came naturally, which was a selection of what she has written over all of these years. Christian listeners will easily connect with songs such as "I Do", "Send an Angel", and "Laura's Song", as spiritual elements are woven in and out of her lyrics. Becky captures new listeners with some of her songs about love, such as "Find My Own Way," "Don't Know it All," and "I'm Home". She strikes a new chord about finding hope in desperate situations with "Gotta Start Somewhere." You'll get a dose of the ultimate break-up, get on the dance floor song in "All I Deserve," and then head back to counting her everyday blessings with "Sweet Life". Regardless of where this road leads, Becky knows where she is now is not by mistake, and she's keeping her "Keeper" close by for the journey.
