Broken Spectre is insane, nice field recordings, effective methodology, interesting themes and interventions, expect nature recordings and dark ambiance not a The centre cannot hold follow-up... "Audio was captured using a combination of a quarter inch analogue tape and an untrasonic recording system desgned to capture ultra-high frequency sound, undetectable by the human ear. This frequency spectrum, repitched several octaves lower so as to be audible, reveals the hidden communications of bats, birds and insects. Over 90% of the animal biomass in the rainforest communicates at wavelengths beyond the range of human hearing" taken from his bandcamp

Steel Wound is like David Attenborough narrating Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia instead of Frozen Planet series

From what I can gather, Ben is opposed to a lot Spotify and Daniel Ek stand for, be it investments in AI defence tech, telling artists that they have to constantly release new music instead of paying them fairly or a culture of algorithmically designed playlists.

This is what Ben answered on an AMA concerning his rights to the music of Dark: "This is actually a really really good and important question. I have fought extremely hard to retain control of my own music, and to their credit Netflix and the team behind Dark have been respectful of that. There is an archaic standard model of 'work for hire' in film music whereby the studio owns the recording of the score you wrote for "their" film which barely makes sense as a traditional composer and certainly none whatsoever where the "recording" and the writing are as intertwined as they are in my work and those of pretty well everyone of my peers. Combine that with the whittling away of performance royalties by the takeover of streaming services like Netflix where royalty rates are still only a fraction of those found in traditional television- These standard rules should and must be challenged by the next generation of Composers if any of us are to survive in the long term."

Super Dark Times (Movie) started off very promising and relatable for someone born in 1990 but it then just progressed into nonsense towards the third act.

Anyone know tack name for the end titles at 1st season? Only found track 2:52 long, named as "End" (refer to credits I think) and this is it, Ben Frost as author, but there is no this track in official ost, why? Maybe this track written by someone else?

Dude, i was looking for it as well as you. seemingly it was not written on the official soundtrack. so we can't reach it as a singular track in mp3 :(

its so frustrating, not first time when catchy sound isn't included in cd or even as single, and even not placed in any platform when you can just buy it as well, but no, they say fuck you and hide this tracks in pockets or what, whats wrong with those who did this? Or pushing this situation further and ruin original track which played in show, and put some shitty remixed or other version on cd, recent what I found in this case was track from JoJo (Taku Iwasaki I'm in Control) wich have voicecover on cd-track, and some good person can't stand it so just recreate it from scratch using some sound-mixing software.

basically what i'm saying is that i never did anything to ben. I playfully tried to wrestle with him as a kid. Could never pin the fucker. He was strong. We literally hardly ever spoke to eachother from about age 8-10 to now. Can someone ask ben what his problem with me is? thanks.

It was a post-punk band from Melbourne. Nothing too special, but that's subjective.

Well, it looks like I listened to them once in 2014. In their similar artists,, I see Cold Cave and Tropic of Cancer. I like both of those bands, so I may like the insult-worthy band. Ha!
