Biography
Bestards (理想混蛋) is a Taiwanese band formed in 2017, known for their mix of Mandopop and rock influences. The four-member group consists of lead singer Kidding Chiu (邱建豪), guitarist Jerry Kuo (郭哲成), guitarist Dillion Lee (李建廷), and drummer Look Lu (盧可沛). They gained widespread attention with their heartfelt ballads and introspective lyrics, which often explore themes of love, loss, and the struggles of youth.
Their debut album The Fool (愚者), released in 2020, captures the essence of their sound, combining folk elements with emotionally resonant lyrics. Popular songs like "The Planet 行星" and "Rain or Shine 不是因為天氣晴朗才愛你 are loved for their honest portrayal of unrequited love and personal struggles. The band’s name, which translates to "Ideal Bastards," reflects their philosophy of chasing dreams and staying true to their ideals despite life's challenges.
Bestards continues to grow in popularity, performing across Asia and receiving accolades, including the 2023 Singer of the Year at the KKBOX Awards
