Bilal Hassani is a 25-year-old French singer author, composer, and performer who shares his daily life with nearly three million dedicated fans worldwide.
Bilal is one of the 20 most influential LGBTQIA+ people in the world according to Vanity Fair, and one of the 40 male personalities who make Paris shine throughout the world according to Numéro magazine. The Inrockuptibles Magazine has called him a "pop icon."
Bilal makes a name for himself in 2015 by taking part in voice kids in france. After his participation, he opened his own youtube channel, publishing covers and original compositions.
On January 6th, 2017 Bilal released his debut single called “Wanna Be” and released other singles such as “Follow Me”, “House Down” and “Shadow”.
In 2018, Bilal became famous for his wigs and his famous cover of "Djadja" by singer Aya Nakamura, who would support him in the rest of his career.
His singing career took a turn when he was chosen to represent France at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, with his song Roi.
The same year, he released his first album, Kingdom, and went on tour throughout France, but the tour was cut short due to covid-19.
He will then release a second album in 2020, in full confinement, called "Contre Soirée". This second project contains the hit tracks "Fais le vide", "Tom", "Papa maman" and "Dead Bae".
In 2021, Bilal will release 2 singles "Lights Off" and "Baby" from an album called "ViEsage" which will unfortunately never see the light of day. The two songs are considered to belong to the "Contre Soirée" era.
Later this year, Bilal will take part in the French version of Dancing with the Stars and will go all the way to the final, where he will place second in the ranking.
After a media break, Bilal will unveil his third album, "Théorème", tackling the subjects of gender norms and self-reconstruction. The album contains the tracks "Il ou Elle", "Transfert Trottinette", "Tout est Ok", "Marathon" and the unique "Intersidérale".
The following year, he released five tracks from his unreleased album in the "Théorème iconic edition”.
In 2024, Bilal Hassani has released her first ever mixtape “Glitter Sleaze Utopia” which contains 10 tracks, to celebrate Pride Month. The project is produced by Sutus and together they work with many artists to give birth to these songs. It contains songs such as “2M02”, “Alter Ego”, “Candy” and “Les Amours Imaginaires”.
During this same year, Bilal starred is Alexis Langlois’ movie “Queen of Drama” which was acclaimed by the critics during the Cannes Films Festival.
In 2025, Bilal continues to develop his artistic palette and has released her first live album called “L’affreuse”.
This recording, captured during Radio France's Hyper Weekend Festival, features an hour-long piano-vocal show, in which the artist performs eleven previously unreleased tracks. These songs, co-written with Martin Dust, reflect a personal and intimate approach, exploring the darker aspects of her personality through emotionally charged compositions. The title "L'Affreuse" refers to a symbolic figure representing this dark side, offering an honest, unvarnished perspective on her experiences and emotions.
