Wiki
Blue in Green is a notable modal ballad that circles round the unusual length of 10 bars - a key track on the biggest selling album of all time - KIND OF BLUE.
by The Miles Davis Sextet.
Of course, nobody realised that this album would become so important but
Miles decided to copyright the music in his name just in case royalties might be realised. Blue in Green was actually composed solely by Bill Evans who signed his rights away for the sum of $50 immediately after the recording. Miles gladly paid him.
It was a sound investment for Miles while Bill Evans never got the credit or royalties he deserved.
