Biography
Birds of India were a rock band from Prescott, Arizona by way of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2001 by Jason Ei (guitar/vocals), Kevin Lee (on drums), Tim O’Malley (on guitar), Mark Scharrer, the only AZ native (on bass), they played "loud, stripped down guitar rock," as described by lyricist and visionary Jason Ei. After releasing the "American Eggs" EP on Limekiln Records in 2003, the band toured the United States extensively, garnering many positive reviews from magazines such as Punk Planet and Splendid Zine. They sadly broke up and moved about the country in 2003. They will forever be remembered as one of Arizona's greatest rock bands.
