Biography

Clover G recording artist Da Black Al Capone aka Da Notorious Unda Boss, is turning heads from multiple directions. Is it for his lyrical and street savvy style; maybe it might be his self-signature clothing line which is due out in the near future that’s got people talking; or even the recent claim that he slapped T.I., the ATL based, publicly stated King of the South rapper. Whatever the case may be, the man has caught attention and is continuing to do so.

This New York native, who is now based in and representing Houston Texas, started biding his time in the industry by first leaving his hometown in NYC to take part in what he describes as, "cross-country hustles". Capone found out how to come up in all regions, which eventually landed him in "Da Dirty South". He made his way to Little Rock Arkansas, also hometown of R&B Star Ne-yo, where he opened up his Starvin’ Artists Record Store, selling music.

Da Black Al Capone took notice of how one particular artist, Lil’ Flip, was pushing large numbers, in terms of record sales, from his store. These record sales took to the interest of Capone and next thing, he’s signed to Lil’ Flip’s Clover G record label. That’s how Capone pretty much put it.

At the recent Southern Entertainment Awards, Capone was nominated for two honours. But by the end of the evening, he could be caught on camera visibly upset at not picking up any hardware. He was seen on camera with his entourage known as the Illitary Army, dressed all in soldier gear, ranting at and about the judge’s choice for the winners. This clip is best known for not being a memorable on camera interview but more of a loud camera outrage. If you didn’t get a chance to catch it, then here’s the chance to see it online. His latest single "Shoot ‘Em Up" off the mixtape, Wanted Coast 2 Coast, is also viewable online, and in it Da Black Al Capone takes a swipe at rapper T.I. He’s claimed to have slapped TI in Houston in a short fight. Now there’s a comedy sketch in the video where he plays a supposed re-enactment of the events that occurred.

Da Black Al Capone is currently working on releasing a new album (Unda Boss). His album features appearances from Lil’ Flip, Chamillionaire, Yukmouth and more.
