#1 - A speed rock 'n' roll band hailing from Essex, England BLACK RADIO was formed in late 2005 by Mike Jones, Allan Gunby and Jay Lloyd. Originally conceived as a side project, the disbanding of Al and Mike's previous band, political punk rockers THE FILAMENTS made BLACK RADIO a top priority. Jay's move to playing bass marks a departure from his stint as the lungs and vocal chords of KILL THE LIGHTS.
With a healthy addiction to whiskey nights and speed rock there was only one route the band could ever take; TURBOCHARGED PUNK ROCK. With a nod to the almighty MOTORHEAD and Swedish Hemiheads PUFFBALL when BLACK RADIO fire up it's a full throttle decibel attack to the finish.
After a few rehearsals BLACK RADIO headed into NO STUDIOS to record their self released debut E.P 'No Frills, No Skills, Stripped Down & Faster Thank Your V8' with Jon 'The Hat' Hannon.

# 2 Straight from the geographical center of Poland, Black Radio are a 5 piece band from Łódź, created in 2008.
The most characteristic features coming along with fantastic and powerful vocalist's voice without a doubt are, big mix of music styles like: indie, rock'n'roll and grunge and a phenomenal contact with the crowd. Although the boys are really young, their music represents really high and mature level which brings fun not only to young people but older too. The band likes to tell about themselves that they want to step where their idols do and that they want to look around every corner to see what is there. A valuable thing about them, for sure, would be their strong and visible desire to develop new music styles. The boys say that their motivation and inspiration is gained from artists like: Jack White, Two Door Cinema Club, The Wombats, Foals, Foo Fighters. Long story short, band with big ambitions, ready to face the world. The band is currently working on their debut album.
