Blackburner is the electronic music project of musician/producer/vocalist artist Skyla Talon . Blackburner combines the heavily twisted and seriously aggressive Bass beats of Dubstep and Glitch with the melodic hooks of Rock, Industrial and Electronica to create a daring yet widely appealing new hybrid sound
Skyla grew up in Mount Pleasant, Michigan and started playing guitar at an early age. Skyla soon moved to Los Angeles, where he formed the gutter rock band Killingbird and later as the guitarist for Scum of the Earth the side project of Rob Zombie guitarist Riggs. 2010 brought ModelSaint
Talon began the Blackburner project 2011 while on hiatus from his other bands. He occupied his time remixing tracks and releasing original compositions through Hypnotic Records, on several dance compilations. Cleopatra Records promptly signed Blackburner for a full length album to be released in April of 2012.
Blackburner has done remixes for several well-known artist including DMX and Grandmaster Flash, as well for ModelSaint and newer artist such as Burman feat. Jessica Jean.
