singer sounds similar to Dio I just noticed, with a lower voice but a similar kind of tone. Anyone else see what I mean? [3] Also, "Fantastic Piece of Architecture" is a masterpiece.

I heard the song D.O.A. on a recording from 1978 from a national radio broadcaster from my country the other day and immediately thought the same. Went on Google to see if others thought so as well but found your response instead. Not disappointed. I just downloaded the Bloodrock 2 album cause I need to hear more.

Sad to report....one of the founding members, Doyle "Nick" Taylor, rhythm guitarist and my father, passed away on March 10th in a fatal car accident. Thank you to all the fans of Bloodrock. You made his "rockstar" experience so special!

I listened to these guys (while stoned) A LOT back in '71-'72. They were awesome.

"...I'm gonna build all my castles on top of my dreams"... "Freelance Fiend" belongs to my hall of fame, together with "Sweet Leaf " and "After Forever "... ;-)

It amazes me sometimes that a band this unique can go so unnoticed. They're not great, but they're pretty fascinating, and definitely worth listening to. I know of no other bands from the early '70s who were as morbid and creepy as these guys, besides Black Sabbath.

I went 1 by 1 through these 1st 4 albums-- the first 3 have good stuff, but USA is more rockin' and more polished. I even like the arrangements better, though they're equally complex.
