Biography
The Blowtops hit the Buffalo, New York scene in 1998 like a tidal wave of white noise. Scaring everyone out of many establishments by shear aggression and volume. They released their first 7","Voodoo Alley" on Big Neck Records which brought them instant acclaim. The original four piece consisted of a mix of two bands. Odie from The Baseball Furies played drums, Andy Beiter from The Headknockers played bass, Aaron Adduci from The Backstabbers and Headknockers, guitar, and finally "Creepy Dave". Odie decided to leave the band after The Furies started to rise in popularity. He was replaced on drums by Andy who in turn was replaced on bass by our very own Jimmy Hollywood. Hollywood decided to quit to pursue The Furies popularity and to begin his own band called The Tyrades. Finally, Jim was replaced by Sean from The Jack Jimmy Hoodlums fame. This incarnation gave us their new 10" lp "Blood and Tar" and Estrus their new 7" "Menacing Sinstress".
