In my ears, this one is a tad more refined than the previous "comeback" album, Heaven Forbid, and succeeds in keeping up the interest slightly better than HF. This one has some really nice tunes, and surely this is much more of high quality than most of the rock coming out in the 21st century. Yet still after all, this is very far from the splendour of the pre-Imaginos era, at least in my ears. If I'm entirely honest, I kind of wish this would remain as their last album as Blue Öyster Cult and that they would concentrate only on touring anymore, for clearly their "golden age", in the creative sense, has gone by for good. In their decade-spanning career they've made an endless amount of brilliant music which will definitely withstand the test of time and live forever on, but I just wish they wouldn't make mediocre material (on their own scale) like this anymore to cheapen the legend of the mighty Blue Öyster Cult.

Oh my god what a good album. And yet I fear the only recognition it'll get is being their last album.
