Bob Drake (born December 6, 1957 in Cleveland, United States) is an American avant-garde musician. He was a founding member of avant-prog band Thinking Plague in the early 1980s and was later part of 5uu's, The Science Group (with Chris Cutler and Fred Frith) and Hail.
Drake has released a number of solo albums written, performed and recorded by himself, starting with What Day Is It? in 1994. His engineering credits include Ice Cube's 1990 debut album AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted. He has also remastered a number of albums, including the art bears' box-set The Art Box (2003), The 40th Anniversary Henry Cow Box Set (2009) and others on the Recommended Records catalog.
In 2007 Drake formed Bob Drake's Cabinet of Curiosities to perform material from his solo albums live on stage. It comprises Bob Drake (guitar, vocals, violin, banjo), David Campbell (guitar, bass, vocals) Dave Kerman (drums) and Jason DuMars (soprano/alto saxophones, keyboards).
