MrBeast sits in a cage naked and filthy, his shame is available to everyone. Several men surround the cage and shower him with their urine. Wild animals are allowed in the cage one at a time for several hours a day. None can resist the odor of Jimmy's sex. The baboon caresses his breasts, the elk licks his ass, and the zebra enters him from behind. At night he howls with the wolves like a bitch in heat waiting for the sun to rise again. A gentleman offers MrBeast his hat. He shits in the hat and wears it for three days

massively underrated. Further Still is an absolute banger and All Fours is one of my favorite albums ever i think. II is probably sitting right next to it with III right behind. S/T is my least favorite but that doesn't say much when this band's output is so crystal-clean from start to finish. not a single bad track.

New album is killer as always. Pretty much combines the best facets of all their albums; devastating in the best possible way. The only possible complaint I can imagine anyone making is that there’s no Slint-style 10-minute epic on this one, but it feels churlish to make a style complaint when the substance is this good. It’ll be in regular rotation for years to come and may be their best release to date (I’ll need to give several more spins to their discography before I can make a definitive statement one way or the other).

i love the 1st album. musically it's not as interesting but it's so relentless. something very powerful and affecting about the monotone screams. can just play it on repeat and lose track of time. perfect for certain depressive episodes

Agreed. The second album is also a perfect bridge between the rawness of their early material and their more experimental later work. I enjoy their later work more overall, but there's a degree of catharsis in their early material that I don't find in many other places.

This band is really underrated. Every release is stunning, and they only seem to get better with every album.

re: their name, I've asked my friends who speak French and they don't have anything more to contribute than google translate. So i'ts not an issue on that end. Covert art for All Fours is indeed pretty ugly (especially a bummer after I loved the art for III so much), but the album great. Really wish they would play some east coast shows

Bosse-de-Nage is actually a character from Alfred Jarry's book "Exploits and Opinions of Dr. Faustroll, Pataphysician", a monkey who can only say "ha ha".

It may also be relevant to note that apparently, the narrator of the novel wonders if the monkey ever existed, or whether he hallucinated it. Given the surrealistic nature of many of BdN's lyrics, this seems to fit in perfectly with their artistic vision, and I'm having a difficult time thinking of a more appropriate name for the band.

Only just now saw this post (last.fm is dumb about notifications for third-layer shouts). IMHO they've gotten better with each release, though every album they've released is still worth checking out (as is the split).

anyone know what the deal is with their band name? google translate tells me it means something along the lines of Bump-swimming... is it a reference to something obscure or just a weird joke, or is google translate wrong like usual.

All Fours is definitely their best work yet. Amazing record, and especially that drumming!!! Just out of this world

All fours is probably their best release. All tracks have more complex ideas than before.

By the way, does anyone have lyrics for the first album? I can't find them anywhere.

I like the music - the voice makes it even better. So I will definitely listen to the older albums, too. Only tried All Fours until now.
