Biography
“Breathes with Gills” is the brainchild of Mike Miller who writes the songs and sings them. Brian Hazard of Color Theory is the primary arranger and producer.
Musically the main inspiration is early to mid 1980's synth driven music. Lyrically the songs tend to be some combination of introspective/hopeful/whimsical.
As for the name, it's meant to denote being in a place in life where circumstances might indicate you are drowning, yet somehow you are managing to breathe and move forward.
