Biography
Broke Lord makes music.
His first record Death of a Flower (2017) is a ring shaped postmodern folk tale in which BL sings about inner chapels, lost grooms, desolated gardens, the life of saints and the coming of our Lord under a female form. A succint but deep circle of rise and decay wrapped in pop cellophane and minimal rags. .
His second record, Nazgul Says (2018), digs deeper in the well of the unconscious, extracting ten dark numbers about old towns, unsung rock&roll heroes, the correct use of rain, digital mothers, burning churches, faraway beaches and friendly monsters.
His third record, I Am the Phantom Limb, will see the light in spring 2019 with nine new exersices on pop dissection & emotional telepathy.
The three of them were recorded by Raul Pérez at La Mina Studios (Sevilla), with the help of some amazing musicians, including Marco Serrato (Orthodox, Hidden Forces Trio), Asier Maiah (Viva Bazooka), Macky Chuca (Mostros), Juan G. Romero (Naja Naja, malheur), Noli «Rattlesnake» Torres and Antonio J. Moreno.
Demos & outtakes that paved the way from zero to here can also be checked and freely downloaded at his bandcamp page.
