There are four artists with this name:
1) Broke is a dark-coloured disco / digitalized post-punk band from Copenhagen, Denmark consisting of Mads Bergland and Simon Littauer.
Broke is an uncompromising blend of relentless beats and futuristic phychedelia, a combination of hi-tech equipment and lo-fi aesthetics and trashy effects.
Broke is about contradictions and linger between unconditional love and explosive anger, a cosmopolitan metropolis and insignificant suburbia, soothing silence and pervasive noise, party socialising and late-night introspection… Broke are about the flipside of the coin.
2) Broke is a Minimal/Tech-house group who release on Kompakt consisting of artists Markus Rossknecht & Matias Aguayo.
3) BroKe is a two-man Alternative Metal Band from Frankfurt, Germany.
They mix very different styles of Metal, for example Death Metal, Black Metal, Metalcore, Speed Metal, Thrash Metal, Grindcore, Hardcore, Hubawaba Metal, Melodic Death Metal or Heavy Metal.
3) Broke is a four piece rock band from Utah who embraces the spirit and sounds of music acts such as The Cure, Prince, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Clash. They have played with a wide variety of bands and have developed an equally diverse fanbase.
In the last two years, the four members of Broke have turned their life's expiriences into something more than just old photographs and lost memories. Where an old life ends, a new venture begins. Through the ups and downs of homlessness, fatherhood, divorce, and maybe the crazy feeling of being in love, Broke have found themselves an audience to relate with. They have literally sold the clothes off their own backs to put themselves on the road, and have developed a knack for finding luxury in meager circumstances.
