“Leave The Door Open” is Silk Sonic’s debut single, a side project featuring Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars.
Throughout the song, the two profess their love for a significant other, telling her the door will be left wide open for her to enter at any time.
In a February 26 Twitter post, Bruno Mars announced that the group’s first single would be released on March 5, 2021. The song premiered alongside a music video directed by Bruno Mars and Florent Déchard.
“Leave The Door Open” debuted at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the chart week of March 20, 2021. It is Anderson .Paak’s highest-charting song. The song has since peaked at #1 during the week ending April 17, 2021. It is .Paak’s first song to top the chart and Mars' eighth.
The song was awarded with the Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance at the 2022 GRAMMYs.
