Buddy DeFranco took Charlie Parker's (The Bird) saxophone style and translated it for the clarinet. He introduced the clarinet to modern jazz and created a whole new sound. Buddy is considered to be the greatest jazz clarinetist alive. His continuing influence and contribution to jazz is prolific.
