“I want to play drums.” The phrase was uttered, and Buffalo Bayou was born. With great honor and strife, the band full of different flavors and followings has been evolving over the past few years and is now here, ready and willing to adorn your ears with rampant musical pleasure.
Lindsay Cloninger (vocals), Fabio Antonio (drums), Jordan Hudson (guitar) and Mick Dineen (bass) combine their miscellaneous personal tastes and passion for all things music into a unique yet familiar sound, crafting songs with ridiculously open minds and harebrained execution. Buffalo Bayou fuses Hudson’s adept handling of blues and classic rock guitar with Dineen and Antonio’s eccentric, choice sound, like a dream with sleep. Pour sweet, burning fudge on top and now you have an idea what Cloninger’s stifling tone adds to the mix.
This Houston-based collection is a group of blue-collar, Texan city slickers trying to make music for a new generation of fans. They’re a tribute to the days of thrilling guitar solos and mesmerizing melody that make you feel stoned when you’re sober. Squint your eyes, open your ears and nod emphatically to the rhythm of your new favorite band.
