bum shankar is a band from Barcelona. bum shankar - two guitars, David & Lluís - one singer: Johnny – Luiggi, bass guitar – and one drummer: Raül – rock, probably hard… it's interesting that every deffinition implies a negation – it's like… rock, not rock’n’roll – hard rock, not metal – structures beyond the expected, although not turning into synphonic – songs that get so assimilated that it's hard to look at them from a distance - sometimes it's better to just listen to your friends - and they go and say: country joe and the fish, rush (of course), king crimson (I've told you they are friends) – I even remember one who said kortatu… – our opinion… it would have to do with developed structures, changes, melodies&rythms, mix, non boredness, atention from all of us – bum shankar
