Biography
Bass driven grooves, reggae rhythms, bluesy guitar licks, booming percussion, melodic horns and lyrics of heartbreak, booze and exaggerations, Burnstyles bring the party to the party. Established in 2011, the Saint Joseph, MO based band has seen its share of lineup changes before finally coming together on the current line up that is releasing their debut album on their very own Renick Street Records in December of 2013.
Bret Yager (Vocalist/Guitarist) brings his fusion of hip/hop and punk rock songs to the band with heart felt lyrics and varying cadenced rhyme schemes. T.S. (Lead Guitarist) dominates the music when called upon with his seasoned guitar licks and unforgettable melodies and soloing. Corey Kropp (Bassist) and Drew Huffman (Drummer) are the foundation to the music that at any given time can transition between tempos and styles throughout a given song. Pete Bailey aka Trombone Pete (Horns), rounds off the sound with his melodic trombone fills and helps to solidify the already banging sound that Burnstyles desire to bring to the forefront.
Being compared to some of their influences (Sublime, RHCP and 311), writing and performing their songs are the only fix these five guys need to bring the in your face, tell it like it is, party band from the rehearsal spot to your favorite musical venue.
