Biography
A proud son of rural Missouri who has already gained a cult following among Chicago barflies, Caleb wears his influences on his sleeve but marches to the beat of his own drum (and you should see the faces he makes while drumming!). If Leonard Cohen and Townes Van Zandt defied biology and had a taciturn yet good-natured, brainy, and earnest baby boy, they'd name him Caleb Mundwiller. There is a chastity in his voice that never tips over into prudishness; a sweetness in his melodies that always stops short of sentimentality; a brittle sadness in his lyrics that nevertheless uplifts and gives hope and promises solace. He sings of girlfriends past and future, current friends, and obscure minerals, each song, much like Caleb himself, a vision of virtue, sanity, and loveliness.
