Capella de Ministrers is a group created in 1987 in Valencia by its director, the Valencian musicologist Carles Magraner (viola da gamba). Capella de Ministrers is dedicated primarily to the performance of pre-1800 Spanish music, using reliable performance criteria for each period and historical instruments.1 The ensemble has given concerts in the best music halls in Spain and has participated in numerous international festivals around the world. This trajectory of study and recovery of early music has been reflected in the discography recorded for EGT, Blau, Auvidis and CDM, Capella de Ministrers' exclusive record label, obtaining very good reviews from the specialized press, as well as prizes and distinctions such as Best Record Production awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Important Prize of the publishing house Prensa Valenciana, the Civic Prize 2008 of Almussafes-Ribera Baixa, the Prize to the Diffusion Plaça del Llibre 2017, Bankia Prize to the Valencian Musical Formation of professional character and the distinctive seal of quality of the GVA Mediterranew Musix. He has twice won the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) in the Early Music category for his album Quattrocento in 2018 and for his album El collar de la paloma in 2023 and finalist for his album Super Lamentationes in 2021, the Premio Carles Santos de la Música Valenciana 2018 for the best heritage recovery album, as well as finalist for this award in 2019 and 2020.
